HOW EACH PIECE IS MADE

STEP 01
DOCUMENTING INSPIRATION
Every collection begins with observation. Inspiration often comes from quiet moments: a walk through nature, time spent with botanical books, or revisiting memories that linger. I document ideas through reading, sketching, and collecting visual references, allowing themes to take shape slowly. This early stage is about paying attention and giving space for ideas to unfold before they move toward illustration.
STEP 02
SKETCHING & FINDING COLOR
Once inspiration is gathered, I move into sketching, working through ideas on paper and letting compositions find their shape through repetition and revision. Color comes in early here too. I test combinations slowly, putting them beside each other to see what feels right, what sings, and what wants to be set aside for another time. This is one of my favorite stages: full of possibility, with nothing yet committed to.
STEP 03
PAINTING & MORE PAINTING
Once the creative direction is established, I move into painting. This stage often unfolds slowly, with multiple iterations explored until the composition and balance feel right. I work by hand using a combination of watercolor, gouache, colored pencils, and ink. Layer by layer, shapes and details develop on paper, allowing each illustration to gradually take its final form.
STEP 04
DIGITAL REFINEMENT
Each finished painting is carefully scanned and brought to the screen, where I work to preserve everything that made the original feel alive. I refine details, adjust color, and prepare the artwork for print with the same attention I gave the paper. The goal is always for the final piece to carry the warmth of the original, even in its printed form.
STEP 05
PRINTING & PRODUCTION
Once the artwork is finalized, I work closely with skilled printers and manufacturers selected for their craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each piece is carefully reproduced, preserving the color, texture, and character of the original illustration in its final printed form.
STEP 06
QUALITY & FINISHING
When the printed pieces arrive at the studio, my team and I go through each one by hand. We are looking for the things that matter: clean edges, true color, the small details that tell you something was made carefully. Only what passes that look moves forward.
STEP 07
PACKAGING & PRESENTATION
Each order is packed with the same attention we gave the work itself. We focus on presentation and detail, making sure every piece arrives protected and thoughtfully wrapped. This final step is about care: we want every order to feel considered from the first moment it is opened.
