STEP 01
DOCUMENTING INSPIRATION
Every collection begins with observation. Inspiration often comes from quiet moments, a walk through nature, time spent with botanical books, or revisiting memories that linger. I document ideas through reading, sketching, and collecting visual references, allowing themes to take shape slowly. This early stage is about paying attention and giving space for ideas to unfold before they move toward illustration.
STEP 02
SKETCHES, CONCEPTS & COLOR PALETTES
Once inspiration is gathered, I move into sketching. This stage is about exploration, working through ideas on paper, refining compositions, and allowing concepts to take shape. I experiment with color palettes alongside the sketches, testing combinations and tonal relationships that will guide the final illustrations. Through repetition and revision, each piece gradually becomes more defined before moving into the next stage of the process.
STEP 03
PAINTING & MORE PAINTING
Once the creative direction is established, I move into painting. This stage often unfolds slowly, with multiple iterations explored until the composition and balance feel right. I work by hand using a combination of watercolor, gouache, colored pencils, and ink. Layer by layer, shapes and details develop on paper, allowing each illustration to gradually take its final form.
STEP 04
DIGITAL REFINEMENT
Each hand-painted illustration is carefully scanned and brought into the digital space. Here, I refine details, adjust color, and prepare the artwork for print, ensuring it remains true to the original painting. This stage allows me to balance traditional, hand-made marks with the precision required for high-quality reproduction.
STEP 05
PRINTING & PRODUCTION
Once the artwork is finalized, I work closely with skilled printers and manufacturers selected for their craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each piece is carefully reproduced, preserving the color, texture, and character of the original illustration in its final printed form.
STEP 06
QUALITY & FINISHING
Once the printed pieces arrive at the studio, my team and I inspect each item by hand to ensure it meets our standards of quality. After approval, every piece is carefully wrapped and prepared for shipment.
STEP 07
PACKAGING & PRESENTATION
Before leaving the studio, each order is carefully packed with the same attention given to the work itself. My team and I focus on presentation, detail, and quality, ensuring every piece arrives protected and thoughtfully wrapped. This final step is about care, creating an experience that feels considered from the moment an order is opened.
